To explain the fullness and bounds of the Chancellor Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, from which BIMIT draws its inspiration and values in Education, is indeed a very inadequate presentation of the effulgence of His glory as Eternal Educator, shining like the Sun, shedding luminous light and dispelling the darkness of our ignorance.  But naturally and comprehensibly explaining His commendable work in the realm of Education would indeed be to revolutionise a grand process of `man-making' and `nation-building'.

The students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow and that they should treat their motherland not as a mere lump of earth but a sacred land which has to be sanctified through complete dedication.  Foundation of a nation can be built on stable basis if five elements - People, Government, Parents, Teachers & Students, coordinate their plans and efforts as they represent the five vital forces.  The urgent need for promoting moral excellence as in the past, should be pursued continuously alongwith academic accomplishments by the students. Thus trained as a perspective protectors of the people they should assume important role of future leaders and administrators.  In order to achieve this balance, it would be necessary to build anew the whole educational system based on love, truth, faith, compassion and humility.  Humility, which is the product of Atma Vidya, should be the mark of scholarship.  Further it is clear that, while the study of the material world should not be neglected and that it is desirable and useful to know as to why and how earth rotates, how far the sun is from the moon and stars, etc., it is equally important that, one has to consider equally seriously as to what extent this kind of information and knowledge can be profitable.  The most fundamental areas to study and watch are how broad are our hearts, how much are we aware of our inner principles and what exactly is the purpose and goal of this human existence.  That students should strive to attain high ranks, as well as the need for earning esteemable virtues.  While the students may be eager to collect marks, they should equally try to avoid remarks and ensure good reputation.
