Coretech Solutions was founded in 2007 as an engineering services and consulting company. In 2014, the company expanded its offerings by launching BIMIT CAD and BIM Training Services, becoming an Authorized Training Center for Autodesk.

Since then, BIMIT has continued its journey as a leading learning partner for Autodesk. In 2018, Autodesk recognized BIMIT’s excellence by awarding the Excellence in Autodesk Fusion Training Award.

In 2023, BIMIT received the prestigious ALP Guru Gold Medal from Autodesk, recognizing its outstanding teaching faculty in India.

Understanding BIM

BIM stands for Building Information Modeling or Building Information Management.

BIM enables Architects, Engineers, Real Estate Developers, Contractors and other construction professionals to plan, design and construct buildings using an intelligent 3D model containing structural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection details.

Based on an intelligent model and supported by a cloud platform, BIM integrates structured, multi-disciplinary data to create a digital representation of an asset throughout its lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and operations.

BIM provides a highly collaborative environment for professionals involved in the building and construction process.

From 2D Drawings to BIM

In the past, blueprints and hand drawings were used to communicate information about building plans. This conventional 2D approach made it difficult to visualize the dimensions and requirements of complex structures.

Computer-Aided Design, or CAD, introduced a digital environment for developing drawings. Later, 3D modelling capabilities were added to CAD technology, allowing more realistic visualization of designs.

Building Information Modeling has taken this development further. BIM is not simply a 3D model; it integrates structured information and multidisciplinary data within an intelligent model.
